Robert J. Phillips

Bobby joined our firm full-time as a financial advisor in 2009, but has worked with Greater Midwest Financial Group in other roles since 2005. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Carleton College in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics. He spent the summer of 2007 studying economics at the University of Cambridge in Cambridge, England. He has been named a Five Star Wealth Manager* from 2016-2024.

Bobby is the President and Chief Compliance Officer in the firm and the lead advisor for many of our clients, from young families starting their financial journey to well-established business owners needing assistance in personal and business matters. In addition, he is the head of the GMFG Investment Committee, where he’s in charge of managing the firm’s financial decisions and investment portfolios.

Bobby currently reside in the Twin Cities with his wife, Katie, and their son, Van. During his free time, Bobby enjoys golfing, hockey, soccer and the outdoors.
